Today is the perfect date to start this theme; my Wednesday was full of wins.
Win #1 : Silent Sanctuary
Everyone in my team, including my boss, were out for meetings the entire day. I don't get much peace and quiet at the office unless I listen to my iPod, so having a day of virtually sagabal-free day is a rarity. I enjoy my teammates' company but every now and then I need this kind of peace (: And today, I got it!! I was able to finish all my tedious tasks in total tranquility. Woot!
Winner #2 : Pogi Points!
My boyfriend had to work overtime tonight (on top of a very hectic morning) so to cheer him up I treated him to a Wendy's fiesta. So much for our diet. I got him 1 Bacon Mushroom Melt, 1 Frosty, 1 Biggie fries, 1 baked potato with chili and cheese, 1 big taco salad and 1 Coke in can. That's enough calories to fulfill a day's worth! Gawd. He finished everything except the taco salad :)) I surprised him by dropping by his office. We spent a total of 5 minutes with each other, but he said that was enough to make him happy. Aww. I managed to squeeze in a hug in that 5 minutes so yay for that (: Cheesy, but after almost 3 years together, I still get giddy (: Yihee! Ok, don't puke--I'll get on to the next win---!!
Win#3 : Shoegasm
While waiting my friend Jen to arrive in Glorietta 4, I decided to window shop. I saw the SALE sign in Zara and because I had time to kill, I went inside to check it out with no intention of buying anything. I'm not really the Zara/Mango/Topshop kind of girl, mostly because it breaks my heart to shell out *that* much for clothes when I can find equally cute things in thrift shops and bazaars. Shoes, however, is a different story for me. If I want it, then I will buy it. Shoes make me happy in ways clothes can never do. There's always an excuse to get a new pair! (:
So anyway, while inside the store, one pair caught my eye: sexy strappy heels in shiny, shimmery silver. I immediately grabbed the pair to check the size--9. And it was the last pair, said the SA. I checked the price: Php 3995. I ran my hands across the straps--they are sexy as hell--and absently flipped the price tags. That's when I saw a different price: Php 995. My eyes practically bugged out of their sockets. Without hesitation I slipped on the pair and fell in love <3>
Win #4 : Cheap Dinnner + High-quality company
What do you call a double order of Henlin siomai+rice? Heaven on a plate! Dirt-cheap dinner with my good friend Jen, catching up on each other's lives and heart-to-heart talks was the perfect way to cap off my Winner Wednesday (:
